Where were you born? Nepal

Ethnicity: Nepalese

Zodiac Sign: Gemini with a rising sun in Scorpio

Favourite things: Eat love, pray and meditate. I am self-proclaimed godmother of puppies; I am a big summer girl and I love travelling, exploring new places and meeting new people. I love reading books (politics, sociological and fiction) and I am a health freak that hits the gym five times a week.

1.) Where do you get your inspiration for modeling from?

To be honest modeling was purely accidental (laughing). Growing up, my family and friends suggested I should do modelling but the inspiration really hit me as I was helping my super-talented make-up-artist friend Tri-Ahn. Besides my best friend, Tash Ncube  (who is my biggest supporter and motivation) is a model herself which was an inspiration try giving modelling a shot.

2.) Did you want to pursue modeling growing up or did you want to do something else?

I have always envisioned and held a passion to save the world from evil haha. From an early age on, I was involved in participating at community services which involved helping vulnerable groups of society. And by no surprise I am now doing my Masters in Social Work as I aspire to become a case worker for Domestic Violence and Refugees. However, having an exposure of modelling has strengthened my purpose and redefined my goals. Furthermore, in future I want to be able to use modelling as a platform to generate awareness about issues prevalent in our society.

3.) What is the best and worst thing about modeling?

So far, I haven't experienced the worst side yet. But on the flip-side, the best thing about modelling is being able to meet new people, travel into beautiful places, explore creativity and being able to keep up with the latest trend.

4.) What advice would you give to someone who wants to pursue this glamorous career of modeling?

Definitely give it a shot! You never know unless you try :)

5.) Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Running my own organisation/ shelter home which aspires to rescue street dogs and hopefully work for Amnesty International as a humanitarian worker.

6.) What are your goals as a model?

To be able to promote beauty with purpose :)

7.) How do you think the modeling industry can improve?

I would say the modelling industry is already improving considering there is a massive representation of people of colour, different sizes, disabilities and so on. However, I would love to have an increase in the incorporation of LGBTQ models.

8.) Anything you want us and the world to know more about you?

I have a huge affinity for adventure sports. I have already done river rafting, scuba diving, cliff diving and bungee jumping. I am yet to do sky diving and paragliding.

9.) What is one question that people ask you a lot?

A question I get normally is how am I able to stay so calm and positive.

10.) Any shoutouts? Last words?

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my parents, my friends and family members for being supportive and believing in me. And lastly when "life gives you lemon, you could be busy making orange juice", the key is just to go with the flow :)
